I’ve put together a list of Amazon Hair + Beauty Summer Essentials. Featuring the products you need to protect your skin and keep your hair strong, smooth + healthy during the Summer. These are some of the best purchases I’ve made that I continue to use, love and recommend. So I figured it was about time I put them all in one place. Amazon Hair + Beauty Summer Essentials
Joico K-PAK Cuticle Sealer
If you get just one product from this list of Amazon Hair + Beauty Summer Essentials, make it the Joico K-PAK Cuticle Sealer – which is only available on Amazon. Step 2 in their 4 Step Hair Repair System (read the full review here). The Joico Cuticle Sealer smooths and tightens the hair cuticle to smooth frizz, lock in colour and curl pattern. The reason it’s a Summer Essential is because UV damage from sun exposure causes the hair to become dry, brittle and frizzy. Lacking shine and increasing breakage.
The Joico K-PAK Cuticle Sealer is the magic product that seals and smooths the cuticle back down. Full of peptides and protein to nourish and strengthen the hair. Use no more than once/week (max). Apply to damp hair, leave in for 5 mins and then rinse out fully. Avoid contact with the scalp, as the pH neutralizer can cause irritation.
Aphogee 2 Step Protein Treatment
I’ve been using the Aphogee 2 Step Protein Treatment to boost the protein levels in my hair for years! Essentially it’s a liquid protein, but due to the size of the bottle, it’s incredibly affordable! Keep this in your bathroom and add a splash or 1 tsp to your conditioner or hair mask once/week or so. This will add more protein into your hair routine, but without drying the hair out. Which liquid protein can often do, if you apply it directly to the hair.
Alternatively, you can add 1 tbsp to my Modified Rice Water Treatment once/week or whenever you clarify. Which is really important during the Summer, especially if you’re swimming in any kind of water. Diva Pro XXL Diffuser
Diffusing wavy and curly hair will always give you the best shape, definition, root lift + volume. No matter what length or curl pattern your hair is. My favourite is the Diva Pro XXL Diffuser. It’s affordable and universal so it fits most hair dryers. And because it’s so big, it will dry more of your hair, much faster. There’s a temptation to let your hair air dry during the Summer. But if it’s really humid or you’ve got high porosity hair, it will take hours and hours to naturally dry your hair. Especially if it’s high density, which means you’ve got a lot of hair. And having wet hair for hours isn’t good for your hair, or your scalp.
But it doesn’t matter what styling products you use, you also won’t get the same root lift + volume if you air dry. Diffuse your hair on a medium heat and medium speed, until fully dry for best results. Eva Naturals Vitamin C Serum
I’ve tried so many vitamin C serums over the years. But there’s one product that stands out above all the rest, and that’s the Eva Naturals Vitamin C Serum. With almost 56K reviews on Amazon. There are a few highly rated vitamin C serums on Amazon, but this one is by far the best. And it’s incredibly affordable at less than £10! I continue to repurchase it over and over again, because I really notice a difference in my complexion when I use it. And when I stop using it to try other vitamin C serums.
The Eva Naturals Vitamin C Serum is particularly good if you’ve got acne, redness, pigmentation or uneven skin tone. It contains Niacinamide, Retinol and Salicylic Acid. Which are all ingredients that reduce blemishes and the redness and inflammation they leave behind. And make your skin look clearer, brighter and smoother. As well as softening fine lines and wrinkles and reducing dark spots and hyperpigmentation. It’s so much more than just a vitamin c serum, which is why I love it so much!
Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun SPF 50+
This wouldn’t be an Amazon Hair + Beauty Summer Essentials article without an SPF recommendation. Meet the best of Korean Beauty, the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics SPF 50+ PA++++. Reef friendly, with 30% rice extract. This unscented, lightweight sunscreen is suitable for all skin types, but especially if you’ve got sensitive skin. This super lightweight cream formula (with no white cast), absorbs almost instantly and sits beautifully under makeup. I find it moisturizing enough that I don’t need to layer a moisturizer underneath.
It’s gentle, effective and affordable, making it a great SPF option for teens who are getting into skincare. And because of the non-greasy, lightweight and unscented formula, it’s great for anyone with sensory issues. Or if you don’t like the feel or smell of other sunscreens. Make sure you purchase this authentic one, from the Beauty of Joseon store on Amazon to avoid picking up a fake dupe. I always purchase this 2 pack on Amazon for £30, which is often discounted.
Fussy Natural Deodorant
I’ve been searching for a good natural deodorant for years now. I’ve tried all the popular ones, but I recently came across Fussy Natural Deodorant and so far it’s my favourite! I love the simple packaging and muted colours. The scents are much more subtle than other natural deodorants on the market – and they even have an unscented version! I’ve also found Fussy Natural Deodorant to be the most effective natural deodorant that I’ve tried.
The 100% vegan formula is paraben and aluminium free, lightweight and nourishing. It can be reapplied without feeling cakey – I hate that feeling! Once you’ve chosen your case. Purchase the plastic-free, carbon neutral, compostable refillables from a variety of scents available. It’s also much more simple + easy to change the refillables than other popular natural deodorants, such as the ones from Wild.
