I’ve put together another list of Amazon Home Essentials just in time for Prime Day. Because the Hair + Beauty Summer Essentials article was so popular. This one features some of the best purchases I’ve made for my home + garden and often get asked about when I post home content on Instagram. Amazon Basics 4 Shelf Storage Unit
If you’re looking for strong, sturdy metal shelf storage units that are high quality and can hold a lot of weight, these Amazon Basics ones are the best. And currently 30% off in the Amazon Prime Day Sale. They come in a narrow box that can easily fit through an attic door if you want to put them up there like I did. They’re super quick and easy to assemble, with adjustable height shelves and levelling feet. You can get different sizes that hold up to 795kg! I got the 4 shelf storage unit which holds up to 640kg for my shed and it easily holds tiles, tools and buckets of paint. We fitted out the attic earlier this year and I got more of these Amazon Basics Shelf Storage Units. My partner, who’s an industrial electrician couldn’t believe how sturdy they are and how much weight they hold! So ladies, don’t be afraid to let your man know you can get high quality, heavy duty stuff like this on Amazon! These are the ones I got on Amazon UK, which have almost 220K reviews!
Bosch Window Vacuum
The Bosch Window Vacuum is one of my best Amazon Home Essentials product recommendations. If you have a lot of windows in your home, or just don’t like cleaning them. Then a window vacuum will save you so much time! Now, you’ve probably seen or heard of the Karcher Window Vac, and I used to have one. But it often left streaks and then just stopped working and wouldn’t charge. After doing some research, I discovered lots of other people had the same issue with the Karcher one, and then bought the Bosch Window Vacuum instead. They said it was much better quality and lasted longer and I agree. You also get two interchangeable heads with the Bosch one, for smaller windows. It’s 30% off for Prime Day on Amazon UK.
Solar Outdoor Garden Lights
I got these solar powered outdoor garden lights in the Summer of 2020, and they’re still going strong over four years later! I regularly get DM’s asking for the link and all my friends + family have purchased them too, because they’re so good! The reason I purchased these specific solar outdoor lights was because they’re 25ft long, and can be charged using a Micro-USB cable to boost the brightness if you don’t get enough sunshine. They also have a large solar panel and bright lights with 25 x G40 LED bulbs per set. They also come with attachments to screw into a wall/fence or stick into the ground/flowerbed. I’ve never had to charge them, and they continue to light up my garden throughout the year. Which is pretty impressive considering I live in Ireland. Don’t ever purchase them at full price though, because they’re often discounted. And don’t worry if they’re out of stock, they come back into stock pretty quickly.
Meross Smart Plugs + Extension Cables
Who knew these Meross Smart Plugs would make life so much easier, and save money?! It’s why I’ve included them in my Amazon Home Essentials, and why I purchased them in the first place. With rising electricity prices, I wanted to find out what appliances around my home were expensive to run. They hook up to your Wifi, don’t require a hub and work with Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings. But make sure you get these ones, which are the energy monitoring ones and almost 20% off for Amazon Prime Day.
It’s also super handy to set the plugs on timers to switch on and off. They can even be set to sync with the sunrise and sunset! The timer function also means I’m not leaving lamps on around the house. And I can turn them on and off when I’m away, so it doesn’t look like the house is empty. Friends + family have bought them too, and they’re safe to plug washing machines, tumble dryers and dishwashers into. The biggest surprise from using these smart plugs in my home, was how much electricity different light bulbs used in my lamps. I also have a few of these Meross Smart Extension Cables, which are almost 25% off for Prime Day on Amazon UK. They allow me to control the whole cable or just individual plug sockets, saving electricity, energy and money.
Tefal Easy Fry 3 in 1 XXL Air Fryer
I have never seen anyone else talk or rave about this Tefal 3 in 1 air fryer and I don’t know why, because it’s amazing! The basket is larger than all the others I’ve seen, and it comes with two different inserts. One like every other air fryer, and a griddle pan one. Because this isn’t just an air fryer, it also grills and steams! We use ours every single day, from baking and cooking, to grilling, roasting and steaming. It’s big, but I don’t mind it sitting on my kitchen counter because the design is pretty sleek and we use it multiple times a day. It’s almost 30% off on Amazon UK for Prime Day.
Almond Cow
I’m dairy intolerant and after trying lots of different plant based milks, I decided to try making my own. Lots of people recommended the Almond Cow plant based milk maker, which I purchased from Amazon UK and I love it! I use it once or twice a week to make almond milk, and I actually prefer the taste of the home made milk using the Almond Cow to the store bought ones! It’s super quick and easy to use, I can make almond milk in 1-2 minutes! And it’s not just for making almond milk. You can also use it to make soya, oat and coconut milk. Even though the straining basket does a pretty good job, I still use these nut milk bags just to make sure I catch all the pulp.
Bar Keeper’s Friend
If you are fed up of all kinds of stains on your cookware, don’t want to soak and scrub limescale off your bath or shower screen or want to effortlessly clean up your copper. The Bar Keeper’s Friend Original Stain Remover + Multi Purpose Cleanser is my favourite for copper and cookware. It cleans, restores and polishes and can be used on work surfaces, ceramic, stainless steel, sinks and basins. But the All Purpose Power Cream (or Soft Cleanser if you’re in the USA) is the best at removing limescale from my shower screen! Multi Purpose Scraper
This little scraper is such a handy little tool to have around the home. I regularly use it on my glass cooker top. It’s also great at removing paint and excellent at removing silicone around sinks and bathtubs. It even removed superglue from my wooden chopping boards without scratching them! This multipurpose scraping tool is non-scratch and comes with 20 spare replacement blades. Here’s the one I got on Amazon UK.
Renpho Body Composition Smart Scales
I purchased these Renpho Body Composition Smart Scales after an expensive check up with a nutritionist where all she did was stand me on one of these body composition scales. So for a fraction of that cost, I got these Renpho ones, which have over 360K ratings on Amazon! I saw a few reviews from other professionals in the healthcare industry who said they purchased one for their home, and it gave the same accurate readings as the one in their office. Ultrasonic UV Aligner Cleaner
If you have Invisalign or any of those clear aligners, retainers or dentures, then you need this Ultrasonic UV Aligner Cleaner! It’s better than the fizzy things you put in water and more effective than cleaning them with a toothbrush. You also don’t need to spend a fortune, I found this one on Amazon last year and it’s currently just over £30 in the Prime Day Sale!
